Our wish list for 2025 – not just money!

Patteson lodge is the home of Girlguiding Norfolk, we want you to be part of making this the estate everything you want it to be.

We are currently looking to replace camp kitchen equipment and many of the tents available for units to use on site. Some units have tents which are good quality but they no longer use, so if you wish to donate them, please do get in touch!

Can you help? We plan on closing the campsite during October half-term and are looking for campers, Rangers or Guide units who want to give service, to come and help out with clearing, recording and storing all of the equipment we have.  If you can’t fit into October, perhaps you would consider a work day inside the lodge in January or even preparing the site for camping during the Easter holidays. If you want to help, let us know how.

We are incredibly lucky to have both Friends of Patteson lodge and Millefleur who help out on site and fundraise for us. Both have contributed to various purchases over the years and both would love to have more members join them or visit on their open days – please look at the dates on their pages on this site.

 

GRANT APPLICATIONS

Do you have experience of applying for grants? We are currently working through grant applications and could use your input.

Areas covered by grants include;

building an external office, for all GGN employees so that the lodge residents have an extra adult room and also are not sharing their event with employees

replacing the bathrooms – upstairs and down!

new bunks in dorms

improved access inside the lodge for anyone with limited mobility

additional electrical sockets in dry store

large covered outdoor seating area, near entrance to woodland along with archway

and we want your ideas!

There are lots of other things we will be adding to this list in the coming months, but our first list needs to include ideas from you!
