Welcome to Patteson Lodge Estate, home of Girlguiding Norfolk.
The estate is made up of a 48 bed lodge, a campsite, Lady Mayhew woods and our Achieves Resource Centre. The extensive grounds are in an attractive rural setting in the National Broads Park, in the heart of Norfolk. The Centre is located 12 miles from the beautiful North Norfolk coastline to the north, and the city of Norwich 8 miles to the south.
Available to hire by Girlguiding groups, Scout and other youth groups and schools. It can also be used as a residential or meeting venue for business’ or team building events.
The Centre was opened in 1982 on land given to Girlguiding Norfolk by the Patteson sisters who devoted their lives to working with young people in fun and friendship. They were known by their guiding friends as Badger and Beaver and you can find out more about their story when you visit the Lodge.
The ARC, holding Girlguiding memorabilia, can provide you with pre-booked talks during your stay. Recent museum accreditation, obtained by a group of very dedicated volunteers, can support groups to explore the wealth of guiding history in this area.
Girlguiding Anglia own the rectory where the Patteson sisters lived, Hautbois House, directly across the road. They offer a range of adventurous activities which can be booked to enhance your stay with us.
