Lodge accomodation

A total of 48 beds are available in the centre – 32 downstairs and 16 upstairs.

Ground Floor

A lockable doorway divides the dormitories from the main entrance hall. There is central heating throughout the building.

Dormitories

  • Two dormitories each sleeping 14 in bunk beds – named Beaver and Badger.  Duvets and pillows provided – bring own duvet cover, pillow case, bottom sheet or sleeping bag.
  • One double bedroom with twin beds, duvet and pillows provided.
  • One double bedroom with bunk beds, duvet and pillows provided.
  • One first aid room with bed fully equipped with lockable cupboard and mini fridge. Please bring your own basic first aid kit.
  • Administrator’s office.
  • Wash room includes 2 showers, 2 toilets and 5 washbasins. Paper towels are provided, but please bring your own toilet rolls.

Main hallway

  • Accessible shower, toilet with grab rails and washbasin.
  • Separate toilet and washbasin.
  • Under stairs cupboards contain large floor cushions and games equipment for indoor and outdoors.

  • 6 large and 4 medium Go Pak tables with 80 chairs
  • Pin boards around the room for display material
  • Serving hatch to kitchen, with serving trolley
  • Comfy chair and sofa corner, seats 6
  • Wall mounted TV with video/DVD player with videos
  • Radio cassette/CD player with Guiding songs CD’s

  • Girlguiding Norfolk’s very own dinosaur, Girlguideasaurus

Kitchen

  • 6 burner calor gas cooker (no grill)
  • 6 slot commercial toaster and sandwich maker
  • Microwave
  • Hot water urn, for tea or coffee
  • One large and one small fridge
  • Dishwasher
  • Crockery, glasses and cutlery
  • Cooking pots, utensils and serving dishes
  • One large and one smaller chest freezers in hall cupboard

First floor

This dormer style accommodation includes a landing area, which contains the Patteson lodge shop. You can operate the shop at a time convenient to yourselves during your visit. Profit from the shop is put towards new games equipment for use during your stay.

Swallow bedroom

Is a spacious four bedded leader’s room. Directly across the hallway, is a toilet and washbasin.

Indaba room

This room could be used for crafts or extra sleeping accommodation for 12 people and contains the following equipment:

  • 4 Go Pak tables and fold up chairs
  • 12 blow up air beds (electric pump supplied)
  • 12 Bedside cabinets
  • Coat hooks at the far end of the room
  • En suite shower, washbasin and toilet
  • Sink unit and storage area

 

There is a fire escape at the end of the Indaba room.
