ActivitiesRecreation AreaThe covered veranda opens out onto a large playing area with wooden 'jungle climber' play equipment, small obstacle course and wildlife area, all within sight of the building and screened from the road. WoodlandLady Mayhew Wood is mixed woodland, which is particularly spectacular in the bluebell season. It has a campfire circle, an equipment store with bivouacs for sleeping outside and information boards about local wildlife. Please respect the neighbours by not making a noise after 9.30 pm. ConservationThe Trefoil Guild who have re-established species once found on the site at the beginning of 20th century manages the Mille Fleur Garden. There is also a wildflower garden. GamesThe outside Games Shed has equipment for volleyball, badminton, short tennis, high jump stands, hoops, balls, and outdoor chess.There are two x 24ft parachutes kept in the cupboard in the lobby. FootballGoal nets are provided and disc markers for you to arrange your own pitch. Obstacle CourseA fixed obstacle course runs up the side of the campsite for use by all. Please liaise with campsite residents when appropriate. TrampolineThe outdoor trampoline is 14ft with a permanent safety net. You are advised to allow only one person at a time with adult supervision. CD/Tape/RadioYou will find this in the main hall in the comfy chair corner. TV/DVD/VideoA DVD/video player in the hall has some videos but you can bring your own. ShopA shop can be found on the first floor landing that stocks Patteson Lodge and Girlguiding merchandise, along with novelty toys and gifts - bring change. Leaders can be responsible for opening this at any time. Money should be left in the box for collection by the Patteson Lodge Administrator. |
